The ‘Silver Bullet ’ owner Stephen, Private
"Hi there,
I have just completed my GT-4 project. I took my time, as I was servicing the donor bike at the same time, but 3 afternoons covered it well. Everything went smoothly, the bike, being a pretty old one, had none of the fancy downtubes, etc, so the engine just dropped straight in.
It took a fair amount of pedalling to start it the first time (hard work!!), and in the end I used a squirt of 'Easy start'. It fired up beautifully and I allowed it to tickover for about 25 mins. I have not needed the 'Easy Start' since then.
I have enclosed a photo of the donor bike, a bit of an old wreck which I bought off a mate for 20 quid about 4 years ago and it'd been sitting, rusting, in one of my sheds since then.
Then there's a photo of my completed beauty....."Silver Bullet" my wife calls it, as she's sure it'll be the death of me!!
And finally a photo of the engine, fitted.
What I like best about my configuration is that it looks a bit like one of those old bikes of the beginning of the 20th century.
Two things I would like is a set of those twin exhausts, as in the original instruction brochure, and a set of front and back LED lights to run off the 6v output.......I would like these to run for about 3mins on their own, too. I reckon I'll have to design my own on that one, which shouldn't be too difficult using a capacitor and diode rectifier etc.
I LOVE my bike, one of the best things I've made for ages! What's more, all my "serious biker" friends all argue together about who's turn is it next. It's very very popular.
Thank you for making a male menopausal man extremely happy!!
All the best,
Steve Ford, Bardwell, Suffolk."
"Hello Stephen,
Thank you kindly for the pictures, I will make up a page just for you and your bike on our gallery section and send you a link when it’s done.
The bike looks fantastic I have to say, I can tell you really enjoyed it; we will also be referring to it as the “Silver bullet” on your page.
All the best for now ….

"Hello Pablo,
Boy am I impressed with your service!! The address to send the bits to is :-

Not only am I megga impressed with the engine kit, but the instructions are superb and simple too. Most importantly, your after sales service is first rate as well.
Is there anything I can do to make it clear to future buyers that you are NOT the ordinary run of the mill rip off merchants. These days there are so many firms that just take your money and then don't want to know after that, that I'd like the world to know about you lot, and how you are 1000 steps above them!
Incidentally, the other week I had cause to return a mobile phone to Sainsbury's as it was faulty........they were AWFUL, just didn't want to know, needless to say I still have a useless mobile phone and Sainsbury's has lost a customer.
When I have perfected the "Silver Bullet", I have another project on the "back burner". This is to convert my road bike (what we used to call a Racer) to petrol power too. This is going to be more complicated as I fancy the engine above the rear wheel, but the whole bike is a bit "delicate", so I was thinking about some sort of belt drive etc......anyway, these are only thoughts at the moment, I've got several months, yet, to perfect and finely tune the silver bullet.
Just out of interest, what do the notch adjustments on the carburettor needle actually "do". I was just wondering about getting more speed/power etc. (for the future....at the moment I'm very carefully running the GT4 in.)
I really look forward to getting the parts on Fri, so I can have an enjoyable weekend "biking".
Many thanks, again, for being a firm that's more than a cut above the rest!
Stephen"
