The ‘PHATboy’ owner Liam Collier, Cambridge
"This bike is a credit to its builder Sergeant Mc Alister of the U.S. Air Force. It was imported into the U.K. in March ‘07 from the desert roads of Arizona. Now in Cambridge, England & kept on the road thanks to transformercycles.com. The theme was 1905 pioneer motorcycle!
It is powered by an early ‘Gen1’ skyhawk 49cc kit with upgraded CNS carburettor, K&N style air filter & handlebar mounted choke. Chrome fuel tank with inline filter. Optional 36 tooth rear sprocket and a quick release drive chain link. The engine casings have been custom enamelled to blend in with the frame colour.
It is built around a matt black powder coated ‘PHAT cycles’ frame with wide chrome bars & chrome grips. It has one rear hub ‘back-pedal’ brake, anti vibration rubber pedals, and a wide super sprung seat. The tyres are slime filled USA ‘thorn guard’ type to prevent punctures.
Many thanks to Aziz @ transformercycles.com for his ongoing help and guidance!
Liam Collier, Cambridge."
